Wow, just wow.
When I first discovered the book I mainly wanted to read it because of its very appealing title and cover and promising blurb but I honestly didn't expect it to love it as much as I do now.
It's a story about a 16 year old boy called Gabriel who wants to stop a kidnapper/killer with the help of some demons he can see and control. Gave me all the "Death Note" vibes and had me glued to the page from chapter one. Would have finished it in one sitting if not for work because I couldn't put it down, such a page-turner. The author did a great job creating this dark and mysterious world and you just can't help feeling for the characters.
Has to be one of my favorite crime novels to date and I can't wait for book 2.

The Lost King [Rezensionsexemplar]
I decided to read this book because I was pretty intrigued by the beautiful cover and blurb. I have always been a fan of fantasy stories, especially those that feature kings and their fight for the throne.
Turns out I was not wrong with wanting to read it, I thoroughly enjoyed Thalos' and Thara's adventure, their journey to find their lost father, their loyal companions and their love for each other. This story had everything! I liked the fast pace and language that was used and that it reminded me of The Lord of the Rings and Narnia. It was a great debut and really makes me want to read more of Frazier Alexander's work in the future.
